Flexible coupling type ESA

Flexible couplings are used for connecting driving, operating and reducing-multiplication elements of machine in order to make transmission of torque and turning. Special performance of couplings with drum are used for braking (EKS type).

Flexible couplings of our production consists of two rims and suitable number of carrying screws which are in one rim fixed by tapered bolt and in the other are positioned in rubber rings, that enables high flexibility. By group of 13 such couplings (tab. 1) is covered torque transmission range from 0 to 6900 daNm and possibility of connecting shaft diameter from 19 to 260 mm. For each group of couplings we have rim length range (L1 & L2).

EXPLOITATION AND MAINTENANCE

Exploitation and Maintenance Till Assembling

After usual control, if coupling is not mounted in, it ought to be storage in closed room or under eaves protected of atmospheric rainfall´s. Near storage couplings it is not allowed to keep acid or similar aggressive substances which cause corrosion. Prepared surfaces to be conserved by grease.

MOUNTING
Machine treatment surfaces, which were conserved, to be cleaned by petrol, erased and controled, and after that to be lubricated by machine oil.

Putting coupling rim onto shaft end to be done by suitable tools without hammer hitting because bearings could be demaged. To enable easier coupling rim putting on, it is allowed to heat it to 100°C.

We recommend, rim with conical hole and fixed carrying screws to be mounted on drive shaft end. After putting on rim it is necessary, according table 4. to make shaft centering and crossing control. Before putting in operation check up if carrying screws are well tightened, and in order to make protection, put on shaft metal protector. Later, during operation, make control of rubber rings wearing and always have one reserve set of these rings.
